Biodiversity Conservation
SDGs x GBF
We provide suggestions for biodiversity conservation policies based on ecological studies and conservation evidences, especially at the nationwide scale . We attend international meeting to learn and share with the knowledge and experiences.
Citizen Science
We launched citizen science projects and currently we focus on the Taiwan New Year Bird Count for migratory waterbirds and iNaturalist for the creatures on farmlands. We use citizen science data as the materials to deal with the issues concerning biodiversity conservation.
Trends & Indicators
We use citizen science data to determine population trends and to build different topics of indicators. Those trajectories are the parts of Taiwan's national biodiversity conservation dashboard, and as the tools to reflect Nature-Positive.
Wildlife-Habitat Relationships
We identified survival resources of species in heterogeneous landscape, and determine the associations of diversity and landscape attributes (configuration, composition, vegetation & habitat amount). It usually conducted in forests and on farmlands.
